CrossFit® is one of the greatest fitness inventions of all time. From the workouts to the coaches to the community, CrossFit is magic. There's just one problem.
Despite all you get inside the box, the benefits rarely translate outside its walls. What you need is a way to CrossFit your life.
Maintaining a CrossFit level of commitment, motivation, and camaraderie in your relationships, work, and habits can feel impossible. With no one to coach you, its on you to own it.
If you don't have a high degree of personal self-discipline, things can fall apart once the workout is over. Consider these areas...
It's crazy that you work out as hard as you do and follow it up with failing on your commitments around food.
CrossFit athletes tend to go all-in on everything they do. But justifying the choice to overindulge because you got your workout in undermines all your hard work.
Choices like these (and others) dramatically affect your sleep, your ability to give in your relationships, and makes your job feel like a slog.
I'm Dane Sanders. Years ago, my buddy Tim and I were inspired to create Men & Women Of Discomfort (MWOD). Later, I discovered CrossFit and have been a six day a week athlete ever since. Professionally, my training and practice are in business, leadership, and character development.
CrossFit and I collab'd on a documentary featuring Annie, the 93-year-old CrossFit athlete. The film was featured at the launch of the CrossFit Open and has been viewed by millions. That said, CrossFit® is a registered trademark of CrossFit, LLC and its inclusion here does not imply any official endorsement or affiliation with MWOD.
The process is simple. You make one choice, and just like your CrossFit Coach, MWOD prescribes the rest of your choices. The only difference is it goes way beyond fitness.
Apply NowThe application is simple and straightforward. We want to make sure everyone understands what they're getting into.
Once approved, the next step is to get real with yourself. We don't need you to be perfect, but MWOD does require your whole heart to participate.
Participation isn't a commitment to MWOD. It's a commitment to yourself. Will you be all-in? Will you give yourself to the process? Will you keep your word?
